Characteristics

A tree very similar to Inocarpus fagifer. Trees are 25 m tall. The bark is brownish grey. It peels off in smooth rectangular pieces. The leaves are oblong and 9-33 cm long by 4-12 cm wide. There are hairs on the midrib. There are 10-14 side veins. The flower clusters are 8 cm long. They have a scent. They are covered with dense brown hairs when young. The pods are red and 3-5 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. The seeds are 3 cm long and 1.5 cm wide.
