Characteristics

Leaf-lamina narrowly linear, 10–70 × 0·5–0·8 mm., more or less sessile and erect, obtuse at the apex, cuneate at the base, glabrous or more or less pubescent mainly on the central nerve.

Flowers axillary, solitary, buds with apical hair tufts; peduncle 2–25 mm. long, pedicels 4–11 mm. long; bracts linear up to 8 mm. long.
Stems generally few branched, prostrate, very slender 10–120 cm. long, obscurely striate, radiating, more or less pubescent.
Seeds greyish, very shortly puberulous.
