Flowers 1–4 at the apices of the shoots; peduncle and pedicels together 1.5–5 cm. long.. Sepals elliptic-oblong, 1.8 cm. long, 1.1–1.4 cm. wide, enlarging in fruit up to 2.2 cm. long, obtuse, tomentose or glabrous.. Corolla white; tube cylindrical, 5–6 cm. long, about 6 mm. in diameter; limb salver-shaped, about 6 cm. wide, frilly-edged.. Capsule ovoid, glabrous, 2.3 cm. long, 1.8 cm. in diameter.. Seeds oblong-ovoid, compressed, brown, 10–11 mm. long, 6 mm. wide, covered with long, white, tangled, cottony hairs about 3 cm. long.. The dehisced fruits strongly resemble cotton-bolls.
