Characteristics

Vines; stems herbaceous to suffrutescent, glabrous. Leaves variable in shape but usually subsagittate in outline, cordate, sagittate to hastate, long-acuminate apically, variable basally, glabrous to pubescent on both surfaces. Flowers on peduncles usually equaling or longer than the petioles, in simple cymose to 10-flowered cymes; sepals ovate to suborbicular, the outer 3-5 mm long, the inner 5-10 mm long, rounded to truncate apically, glabrous, the margins scarious; corolla bluish, pink to purplish, (4-)5-8 cm long. Fruits not seen.
