Cormous geophyte, 0.45-0.8 m tall, corm with soft tunics, stem with short suberect branchlets. Leaves usually 3, linear, uppermost leaf sheathing the stem. Flowers few in a wiry spike, half nodding, white, nodding, sweetly scented, perianth tube funnel-shaped, shorter than tepals, filaments included in tube. Mainly Oct.-Nov.
