Characteristics

Stems glandular-pubescent, hairs up to 0.1-0.4 mm long, glistening glands few or wanting. Leaves (primary) up to 7-47 x 2.8-18 mm, both surfaces glandular-pubescent, hairs up to 0.1-0.2 mm long, glistening glands as well, these sometimes sparse. Pedicels up to 7-32 mm long, glandular-pubescent, hairs up to 0.2 mm long, often scattered glistening glands as well. Calyx tube 0.15-0.2 mm long, lobes 1.8-3 x 0.5-0.7 mm, glandular-pubescent, hairs up to 0.15-0.2 mm long, scattered glistening glands as well. Corolla tube 6.3-9 x 1.5-2 mm in throat, limb 4.5-8 mm across lateral lobes, variously coloured as in J. canescens. Capsules c. 3.5-4 x 2-2.2 mm, minutely glandular-puberulous, glistening glands as well, sometimes confined to sutures. May flower in any month.
