Flowers borne singly in the axils of the uppermost leaves, which decrease rapidly in size upwards. Pedicels up to 12-24 mm long, glandular-pubescent, hairs up to 0.1-0.25 mm long, very few glistening glands. Calyx tube 0.2-0.3 mm long, lobes 2.2-3.2 x 0.6-0.7 mm, oblong, obtuse to subacute, glandular-puberulous, hairs up to 0. 1-0.2 mm long, glistening glands as well. Corolla tube 7-9 x 1.8-2 mm in throat, cylindric, abruptly expanded near apex, limb oblique, c. 7-13 mm across lateral lobes, posticous lobes 3-6 x 2-4 mm, anticous lobe 2.8-7 x 1.8-4.2 mm, all lobes oblong to cuneate, apex more or less truncate, retuse, glandular-puberulous outside, hairs up to 0.1-0.2 mm long, glistening glands as well particularly on backs of lobes, transverse band of clavate hairs in throat extending briefly onto lower lip, lobes often purple to violet blue, sometimes white, throat yellow/orange. Stamens: posticous filaments 0.8-1.3 mm long, anthers 0.7-1.1 mm, anticous filaments 0.4-0.8 mm, anthers 0.4-0.7 mm, all filaments minutely puberulous. Stigma 0.2 mm long. Style 4-6.3 mm. Ovary 2 x 0.7-1 mm. Capsules 5-6.5 x 2.5-3 mm, often streaked with purple, glistening glands ± confined to sutures, minutely glandular-puberulous or glabrous elsewhere. Seeds c. 0.5-0.7 x 0.4-0.5 mm.
