Leaves opposite, bases connate, becoming alternate upwards and then passing rapidly into small floral bracts, somewhat pseudofasciculate, primary leaves up to c. 25-32 x 6-20 mm, blade oblanceolate to ovate in outline, ± total length petiolar, pinnatisect to bipinnatisect, lobes narrowly oblong to narrowly oblanceolate, entire to few-toothed, both surfaces clad in glistening glands. Flowers many, solitary in the axils of uppermost leaves or bracts, producing lax racemes up to c. 150-200 mm long. Bracts up to c. 3-7 x 0.4-0.5 mm, linear, acute. Pedicels up to 5-7(-18) mm long. Calyx tube c. 0.2 mm long, lobes c. 2.7-4.6 x 0.7-0.9 mm, linear, acute to subobtuse, clad in glistening glands and glandular hairs c. 0.1 mm long. Corolla tube c. 20-21 x 2-2.5 mm in throat, cylindric, abruptly expanded near apex, limb c. 10-15 mm across lateral lobes, oblique, bilabiate, mouth somewhat compressed laterally, posticous lobes 5-6.7 x 2-3 mm, anticous lobe 4.5-6.5 x 2-4 mm, all lobes ± oblong, apex deeply bifid, the tips very acute, margins strongly revolute, glandular-puberulous outside, hairs c. 0.1 mm long, glistening glands as well especially on backs of lobes and upper half of inflated part of tube, occasionally a few glistening glands on upper surface of lobes, otherwise glabrous there, broad transverse band of clavate hairs in throat extending very briefly onto anticous lip, lobes brown or reddish-brown, thick-textured (no venation visible on upper surface). Stamens: posticous filaments 1.2-2 mm long, anthers 0.8-1.3 mm, anticous filaments 0.7-1 mm long, anthers 0.8-1.1 mm, all filaments bearded. Stigma c. 0.8-1 mm long. Style c. 16 mm. Ovary 2.2-2.5 x 1-1.2 mm. Capsules 7.5-8 x 2.5-3 mm, glistening glands all over. Seeds 0.5-0.6 x 0.3-0.5 mm.
