Origin: in Ann Arbor, Mich., by Fred Neyer. Introd. in 1958. Seed imported from Paul C. Crath in Poland by the Wisconsin Hort. Soc.; planted in 1936; selected in 1954; tested as Neyer 1. Nut: round; kernel sweet, white, plump, very attractive; shell thin; ripens early but unevenly; resembles Hansen. A prize winner in the 1953 Michigan Nut Contest. Tree: Fruit:
