Herb ± 10 cm. high, probably perennial, glabrous; stem decumbent, branched, erect portions densely leafy.. Leaves opposite, suborbicular, broadly ovate or obovate, 1.5–5 cm. long, 1.3–4 cm. wide, apex obtuse, base attenuated, margins entire or serrate-crenate; petiole semiamplexicaul, up to 5 mm. long, 6 mm. wide and 2 mm. thick.. Inflorescence a terminal compound cyme, branching ± dichotomously at first, becoming somewhat monchasial and flowers secund; pedicels 3–4 mm. long.. Calyx 2.5–3 mm. long; lobes triangular, connate at the base for ± 0.5 mm.. Corolla pale reddish yellow-brown; tube cylindrical, 13–14 mm. long, somewhat 4-angled and slightly inflated below the middle; lobes elliptic, 9–10 mm. long, 3.5–4 mm. wide, conspicuously mucronate in bud.. Stamens in 2 series, included, episepalous stamen ± 1 mm. within the corolla-tube, epipetalous stamens attaining the throat; anthers oblong, 0.7–0.75 mm. long, 0.4–0.5 mm. wide, with globose apical gland.. Nectary scales linear, 2–2.5 mm. long.. Carpels cylindrical-lanceolate, 10–11.5 mm. long, connate at the base for 1–1.5 mm. (gynophore), tapering into styles ± 2 mm. long.. Seeds numerous, oblong-ovoid, 0.6–0.65 mm. long, 0.45 mm. wide, longitudinally striate.
