Glabrous pruinose perennial, 0.2–1 m. high.. Leaves petiolate; blade lanceolate-elliptic, sometimes 3-lobed or 3-foliate on upper leaves, median leaves 7.5–15 cm. long, 2.5–5.5 cm. wide, apex acute, base cuneate, margins deeply crenate-serrate, glaucous or grey-green, dark purple-spotted beneath; petiole up to 4 cm. long, terete, not dilated at the base.. Inflorescence a paniculate cyme 10–30 cm. long; pedicels 5–20 mm. long.. Calyx-lobes narrowly lanceolate, 8–15 mm. long, 2–3 mm. wide, connate at the base for 1–2 mm.. Corolla creamy white or yellow; tube 19–27 mm. long; lobes 10–16 mm. long, 4–6 mm. wide.. Anthers with apical glands 0.1–0.2 mm. in diameter; episepalous stamens included 1–3 mm. within the tube, 1.8–2 mm. long, 1 mm. wide; epipetalous stamens with anthers exserted, 1.3–1.5 mm. long, 0.6–0.7 mm. wide.. Nectary scales linear, 5–7.5 mm. long.. Carpels 10–15 mm. long, attenuated into styles 7–10 mm. long.
