Corolla 17·5-19 mm. long, orange or yellow; corolla-tube dilated at the base, very contracted just above the follicles, then narrowly cylindric-tubular; corolla-lobes 5-5·5 x 2·75-3 mm., rather apiculate.
Calyx 6-7·5 mm. long, rounded at the base, densely and shortly glandular-hairy; tube 2·5-3·5 mm. long; sepals 2·5-3·5 mm. broad at base, ovate-lanceolate, acute, not or shortly apiculate.
Inflorescence a panicle formed by a dense terminal corymb up to 6 cm. in diameter flanked by lateral corymbs; pedicels 2·5-5·5 mm. long.
Stem erect, rigid, woody below, terete, smooth, densely glandular-hairy (hairs up to 1 mm. long, spreading, hyaline to pale tawny).
A succulent herb, probably perennial, up to 65 cm. high.
Follicles ± 7·5 mm. long; styles ± 0·5 mm. long.
Anthers c. 0·7 mm. long, included.
