Characteristics

Leaves 20–30-foliolate; leaflets 4–9.5 × 1.5–2.5 mm, narrowly oblong, obtuse or obliquely subacute at the apex, obliquely rounded or slightly emarginate at the base, puberulous; margins ciliate, glandular; main nerve submarginal, 3–4 basal nerves not very marked; petiole and rhachis 2–3.5 cm long; petiolules very short; stipules 3.5 × 1.5 mm, ovate-lanceolate, scarious, ciliate, veined, persistent.

Inflorescences axillary, not strobiliform, 2–4 cm long, densely covered with sticky golden bristly hairs; peduncles 5–10 mm long; pedicels 7–9 mm long; bracts 4–5 × 2.5 mm, ovate acuminate, margins with bristly yellow hairs; bracteoles 3–4 × 2.5–3 mm, ovate, acute, margined with similar hairs.
Calyx covered with tubercular-based hairs, 1.5–2 cm long, 2-lipped; the upper lip oblong, divided into 2 obtuse oblong lobes 6–8 mm long, lower lip 3-fid, the lobes 10–12 mm long, narrowly oblong, obtuse, diverging.
Standard yellow or orange, 1.6–1.7 × 1.2–1.3 cm, broadly elliptic or rounded, glabrous save for a few apical setae; wing and keel yellow.
Subshrubby herb 1.5–1.8 m tall; branches glandular, densely covered with very sticky yellow bristly tubercular-based hairs.
Ovary 2–3-ovulate, pilose.
