Female flowers solitary, long pedicelled; sepals 5-7, unequal, imbricate, persistent; ovary 3-locular, muricate; styles 3, filiform, base connate, papillose. Capsule 3-locular, muricate or with dense, rigid bristles. Seeds subglobose.
