Perennial herb 15–50 cm high, with 1–few leaf rosettes, each with 1–few erect leafy or leafless flowering stems.. Rosette leaves lanceolate to spatulate, 3–9 cm long, (0.5–)1–3 cm wide, base semi-amplexicaul, margins sinuate-dentate to pinnatifid; cauline leaves similar, reduced towards inflorescence.. Capitula several in monopodial cymes; involucre 7–11 mm long; phyllaries lanceolate, 1–11 mm long.. Florets 7–12 per capitulum; corolla yellow, tube 3.6–4.8 mm long, ligule 6.5–9 mm long, 1.5–1.9 mm wide.. Achenes 2–3.6 mm long, ribbed; pappus 4–6 mm long, of downy hairs and setae.
