Characteristics

Perennial herb, with annual shoots from woody rootstock, up to 400 mm high; erect. Leaves trifoliolate, turning black when dried. Flowers: 4-many per inflorescence, turning black when dried; flowering branches > 300 mm long; bracts linear to narrowly ovate, < 1 mm wide; paired bracteoles 0; standard and keel ± glabrous, standard < 3 mm wide; corolla yellow; Oct.-Feb. Pods glabrous, except for long hairs along sutures and apex.
