Characteristics

Perennial herb, forming dense mats, up to ± 50 mm high; suffrutescent; procumbent. Leaves trifoliolate; leaflets very small, mucronate, upper surface glabrous; stipules single at each node. Flowers: inflorescence terminal on short lateral branches; bracteoles 0; flowers relatively small, up to 8 mm long; calyx often reddish; standard with a line of hairs along middle only, keel nearly glabrous; corolla longer than calyx, yellow; Sep.-Mar. Pods broadly oblong, glabrescent, much longer than calyx.
