Characteristics

Inflorescences cymosely many-flowered, sessile or shortly peduncled; pedicels up to 2 cm. long, usually hairy; bracts minute, calyx open; sepals ovate to elliptic 6 × 3·5 mm., obtuse, more or less cuspidate, pilose with long yellow hairs to glabrous.

Leaf lamina cordate-ovate, up to 15 cm. long and wide, acute to emarginate at the apex, entire or shallowly lobed or very coarsely dentate, with deltoid lobes about 1 × 2 cm., pilose on both surfaces; petiole up to 11 cm. long, hairy like the stem.
Corolla white, up to 1·8 cm. long; tube at first subcylindric, subcampanulate, becoming avoid as the ovary expands; limb up to 3 cm. in diam.
Capsule ovoid-globose, setose except in the upper part, indehiscent or bursting irregularly, coriaceous.
Seeds grey-black, glabrous, minutely shallowly pitted, globose or nearly so.
Stems covered with long appressed yellow-brown bristly hairs.
