Sprawling subshrub, 300-500 mm tall. Leaves imparipinnately 9-21-foliolate, leaflets oblong, pilose beneath. Flowers 4-12, congested on peduncles very much shorter than leaves, white and purple. Pods subglobose, much inflated, papery, thinly adpressed-hairy.
