Paroicous? Green, sometimes with purple margins of the leaves, growing on wet soil. Stem to 10 mm long, usually about 5 mm, up to 250 µ in diameter, green-brown, frequently dark purple on the dorsal face, basally with leafless stolons. Leaves Ungulate-ellipsoid larger towards the apex of the shoot, alternate, hardly decurrent on the dorsal face. Marginal cells in a distinct row, rectangular, 16 x 22-30 x 40 µ, near the base longer on 20. The ventral side, up to 20 x 50 µ cells in the centre of the leaf rounded, 26-34 µ long, trigones of medium size, cuticle strongly papillose. Oil bodies yellowish, 1-3 per cell, 4 x 6-12 x 12-8 x 20 µ, homogeneous or composed of small drops. Female organ terminal (only young ones observed), where the stem forms a cavity. Bracts smaller than the leaves, emarginate. Perianth shorter than the bracts, mouth irregularly dentate.
