Receptacle 1 mm long, 0.5 mm diam. Female inflorescence about 1.2 cm long, 8 mm diam., ovoid, sessile, axiliaryor terminal. Basal bracts numerous, increasing in size towards the centre, up to 7 mm long, 5 mm broad, 61 cm number, ovate, concave, pubescent, ciliate, apex obtuse. Floral bract one only, 5.5 mm long, linear, obtuse, ciliate above, pubescent. Floral bud one only in each head, 1 cm long, pubescent. Perianth segments 6 mm long, each pubescent on all sides, glabrous adjacent to the ovary. Claw 2.5 mm long, recurved 90°, pubescent outside. Limb 2.2 mm long, pubescent. Staminode 1.5 mm long.
