Hypogynous scales 4 mm long, acicular, pale. Nect seen at the throat of the perianth tube. Receptacle 3.5 mm long, 2.5 mm diam conical. Female inflorescence solitary, terminal, globose with the yello florets clustered on the domes apex, the base and sides closely surrounded b the brown basal bracts and involucral leaves, giving off a very faint smell. Basa bracts similar to the male, 1.4 mm long, 8.4 mm broad, about 51 cm number glabrescent, laterally ciliate. Floral bract 1.4 cm long, 1.2 cm broad, ovate, brown and retuse at the apex, densely short-pubescent except at the basei where very densely villous. Floral bud 1.4 cm long, pubescent, tapering to th apex where the stigma protrudes, surrounded at the base by a very dense tuft o long hairs. Perianth tube 1 cm long, densely pubescent, deeply divided. Claw mm long, villous. Limb 1.7 mm long, pubescent. Staminode 1 mm long. Ovar 1.5 mm long, pubescent especially above and at the base of the style. Style 1. cm long, glabrous.
