Perianth segments imbricated forming a tube 2.8 mm long, glabrous. Claw 1 mm long, recurved 90° or more, glabrous. Limb 0.7 mm long, glabrous, anterior truncate and retuse. Staminodes 0.3 mm long, anterior absent. Ovary 1 mm long, bilobed, ovoid, glabrous, surrounded below by a few short hairs. Style 3 mm long, glabrous, narrowed and bent below. Stigma 0.5 mm broad, oblique. Hypogynous scales 1 mm long, tapering, pale, paleaceous. Nectar not seen. Receptacle 1.1 cm long, 2 mm diam., cylindrical. Mature female head a cone about 3 cm long; 2.2 cm diam., indehiscent, bracts bilobed, pubescent with adjacent bracts arranged in 2 spiral rows.
