Characteristics

Fr oblong or elliptic, dorsally flattened; lateral ribs winged; dorsal and intermediate ribs merely acute; oil-tubes 1 or 2 in the intervals, 2–4 on the commissure; carpophore bifid to the base; umbels compound; bracts and bractlets several, lanceolate, reflexed; sep none; pet yellow or greenish-yellow; stylopodium conic; perennials with the aspect of Angelica, the lvs twice or thrice pinnately compound. 3, SW Asia.

Herbs perennial, stout. Leaves 2–3-pinnate. Umbels compound, terminal and lateral; bracts and bracteoles several. Calyx teeth obsolete. Petals yellowish green to yellow, elliptic, apex incurved. Fruit ellipsoid, slightly flattened dorsally; dorsal ribs obtusely prominent, lateral ribs narrowly thick-winged; vittae 1 in each furrow, 2 on commissure. Seed face plane. Carpophore 2-cleft to base.
