Characteristics

Shrubs or small trees, 1-8 m. Branchlets finely puberulent. Petiole 1-4 mm, glabrous or finely puberulent above; leaf blade elliptic-oblong to broadly elliptic, (1.5-)2.5-6 × (1.3-)2-2.5 cm, somewhat leathery, glabrous, base cuneate to broadly attenuate, apex acute to short acuminate; primary veins ca. 4, obscure to slightly raised adaxially, raised abaxially. Panicles terminal on side shoots, 2-7 × 1.5-4 cm, glabrous. Pedicel 1-3 mm. Calyx 1.5-2 mm, glabrous. Corolla 6-8 mm; tube ca. 2 × as long as lobes. Anthers ca. 2 mm, slightly shorter than corolla. Fruit ellipsoid, mature ones not seen.
