Characteristics

Plants in mats. Stems up to 30 mm long. Leaves erect to erect-spreading when dry, erect-spreading to wide-spreading when wet, ovate, long acuminate, 0.5-1.0 mm long; margins entire; costa extending into acumen. Upper laminal cells oval, incrassate, transversely elongated towards basal margins. Perichaetial leaves convolute, sharply pointed, margins entire, costa absent. Capsule erect, cylindrical, endostome membrane 1/s as high as exostome teeth, without processes or cilia.
