Characteristics

Perennial dwarf shrub or herb, 0.2-0.3 m high, leafy to summit. Leaves ± coriaceous, lanceolate to ovate, 5-15 x 3-6 mm. Panicles compact. Flowers short-pedicelled. Calyx: lobes lanceolate to ovate, outer entire to sparsely and irregularly toothed. Petals obovate. Stamens 5.5-7.0 mm long; staminodes absent. Styles united more than halfway, 3-7 mm long. Flowering time Aug.-Mar. Fruit subspherical, apex obtuse. Seeds 1.8-2.0 mm.
