Leaves: lower imbricate, upper alternate, lanceolate to ovate, 8-18 x 2-5 mm, acute to obtuse, coriaceous. Panicles open. Flowers mostly short-pedicelled. Sepals lanceolate, conspicuously toothed. Petals oblanceolate. Stamens 5-7 mm long, staminodia very slender, ± 0.5 mm long. Styles 4.0-7.5 mm long, briefly united at base, rarely separate. Fruit broadly ovate, acute. Seeds 2.5 x 1.3 mm.
