Terrestrial or epiphytic herb with shoots up to 15 cm. high arising at intervals of 4–12 cm. from a slender terete creeping rhizome up to 2 mm. in diameter and partly concealed by sheaths 1 cm. long.. Roots slender, flexuous, arising at base of shoot and at intervals along the rhizome.. Pseudobulbs fleshy, up to 4 cm. high, 4 mm. in diameter at base, rarely broader, tapering to 1 mm. diameter at apex, with 2–3 small sheathing leaves at the base and 3 larger foliage leaves arising at intervals up the pseudobulb.. Leaves light green, membranous, ovate to oblong-lanceolate 5–8(–12) cm. long, 1.5–3 cm. wide, acute to acuminate at the apex, gradually tapering to a sheathing base, 5-veined, margins smooth or slightly crinkled.. Inflorescence terminal, longer or shorter than the leaves, with 2–6(–10) flowers; rhachis up to 3 cm. long; peduncle up to 9 cm. long, 1 mm. in diameter, slender and curving; bracts up to 5 mm. long, 2 mm. wide at the base, acuminate, lower ones sometimes sterile.. Lip narrow at the auricled base with a bilobed callus, then abruptly widening to become flabellate, emarginate, apiculate, margins crenulate to dentate, up to 7.5 mm. long and 7 mm. wide..
