Characteristics

Small epiphytic herb, with pseudobulbs in close proximity on a short rhizome.. Roots fine, flexuose.. Pseudobulb ovoid, up to 1 cm. high and 4 mm. in diameter, with one small sheath at base, one slightly larger sheathing leaf attached near base, and 1–2 normal leaves attached to the pseudobulb near its apex.. Leaves 5–8(–11) cm. long, 6–9 mm. wide, parallel-sided, tapering at base, bilobed at apex, keel on back ending in a small hooked apiculum.. Inflorescence terminal, erect, 5–10 cm. long, usually longer than, sometimes twice as long as, the leaves; 2 long narrow sterile bracts at base of peduncle; fertile bracts shorter, wider, narrowly ovate, ± 4–6 mm. long, 2 mm. wide at base.. Flowers 5–10(–20), pale yellowish green.. Pedicellate ovaries 7–10 mm. long.. Dorsal sepal linear, up to 5.5 mm. long, 0.6–0.7 mm. wide, margins recurved, apex obtuse; lateral sepals oblong-falcate, 3.7–4.5 mm. long, 2–2.2 mm. wide, obtuse, rolled under beneath the lip.. Petals linear, 5.5–5.6 mm. long, 0.4 mm. wide, apex obtuse.. Lip recurved, slightly auriculate at the base, cuneate, bilobed at the apex, mid-lobe reduced to an apiculum; tooth-like calli at base of lip joined together at their bases.. Column 3.3–3.6 mm. long, terete, geniculate, slightly winged at the apex.
