Characteristics

Pseudobulbs 3 or 4 per plant, cylindrical to conical, 90–120 × 9–12 mm, curved, tapered. Leaves 2 or 3 on channelled stalks to 20 mm long, 80–120 × 40–60 mm, thin-textured, dark green with 5 prominent veins, margins wavy. Racemes 150–250 mm long, 3–15-flowered. Flowers 8–12 × 10–15 mm, deep reddish purple to blackish with green column. Sepals and petals narrow, widely spreading. Dorsal sepal 9–11 × 2.5–3 mm. Lateral sepals 9–11 × 3.5–4 mm, apex twisted. Petals twisted 9–11 × 1 mm. Labellum 8–9 × 6–7 mm; base deeply channelled, with 2 short basal ridges, apex broadly rounded with irregular margins.
