Pseudobulbs 25–40 × 20–30 mm, fleshy, dark green or yellowish green. Leaves 1–3, 100–300 × 30–35 mm, sometimes curved, dark green to yellowish green. Racemes 100–300 mm long, 5–30-flowered. Flowers 10–15 × 8–10 mm, yellowish green with yellow labellum. Sepals and petals narrow, decurved and incurved against ovary. Dorsal sepal 7–10 × 2 mm. Lateral sepals 6.5–9.5 × 2 mm. Petals 6.5–9.5 × 1 mm. Labellum 7–10 × 3–4 mm, base deeply channelled, with 2 orange ridges c. 4 mm long, apex truncate.
Locally common in humid areas of open forest and wetter forests, including rainforest, usually growing on rocks, boulders and ledges in gorges, gullies, cliff faces and escarpments, rarely on tree trunks, even less commonly in sandy soil. Although commonly seen in shady locations on wet rocks, it sometimes also grows on exposed rock faces in bright sun.
