Characteristics

Plants terrestrial, rarely epiphytic, to 200 mm tall; pseudobulbs separated by a 20-50 mm long creeping stem with membranous cataphylls; leaves 3, ascending, elliptic, obtuse, with 3 prominent veins below, texture thin, 25-100 x 15-45 mm; scape with several distant, cordate, acuminate, 5 mm long sheaths. Inflorescences lax, 3-6-flowered; bracts like the sheaths. Flowers green; ovaries 10-15 mm long. Sepals unequal; median sepal erect, lorate, 6-9 x 2 mm; laterals patent, oblique, broadly elliptic, 5-6 x 3-4 mm, largely united to form a synsepalum below the lip. Petals deflexed, linear, margins inrolled, 6-8 x 1 mm. Lip spathulate; limb ascending, 2 x 2 mm; blade rhomboid to lunate, 4-5 mm across, 3-4 mm wide, acute to obtuse; small callus present at the base. Gynostemium erect, 4 mm tall. Capsules erect, fusiform, 10 x 5 mm.
