Characteristics

Small erect subshrub to 50 cm high; branches moderately to densely minutely hairy. Leaves clustered on short lateral shoots, sessile; lamina narrowly oblong, 3.7–5.5 mm long, 0.7–1 mm wide, l:w ratio 4.1–5.7, decurrent, strongly revolute, rounded at apex, mucronate, minutely hairy on lower surface, sparsely to moderately covered with minute bristle-like hairs on a swollen base on upper surface. Inflorescence 1–5-flowered, crowded, not exceeding leaves. Calyx 0.7–0.9 mm long. Corolla 1.4–2 mm long; tube thickened at mouth to form a raised rim, glabrous inside; lobes 0.9–1.2 mm long, densely papillose on inner surface.
