Characteristics

Erect subshrub to c. 1 m high; branches smooth, glabrous and glaucous. Leaves glabrous, sessile; lamina flat, narrowly ovate to ovate, (36–) 40–80 mm long, 15–27 mm wide, l:w ratio (1.8–) 2–4.2, deeply cordate at base, subacute to slightly attenuate at apex, 3-or 5-nerved at base. Inflorescence many-flowered; peduncle 10–25 mm long. Calyx 1–1.2 mm long. Corolla 2–2.5 mm long; tube not internally thickened, glabrous; lobes 0.6–0.8 mm long, minutely but densely papillose on both distal surfaces.
