Characteristics

Diffuse shrub 0.3–1 m high; branches spreading, minutely hairy between lateral ridges. Leaves ±sessile, often on short lateral shoots; lamina narrowly linear, usually 15–25 mm long, 1–1.2 mm wide, l:w ratio 15–25, decurrent at base and slightly stem-clasping, with a small linear 'ligule' 0.5–0.7 mm long inserted 0.3–0.5 mm above base, strongly revolute, subacute to conical, becoming necrotic at apex, moderately to densely hairy on lower surface, glabrous, mamillate above. Inflorescence 5–10-flowered (M) or 1–5-flowered (F). Calyx 1–1.5 mm long. Corolla 1.5–2 mm long, glabrous internally or with scattered papillae from near mouth to c. halfway up lobes; lobes 1–1.5 mm long.
