Characteristics

Small shrub to 30 cm high; branches moderately densely minutely hairy. Leaves with petiole 0.5–1 mm long; lamina ±coriaceous, elliptic to obovate, 3–8 mm long, 1–3 mm wide, l:w ratio 2.6–3, attenuate, recurved on margin, recurved and ±obtuse at apex, minutely papillose on upper surface, with scattered hairs along margin and sometimes on lower surface of midrib and petiole. Inflorescence usually 5–9-flowered; peduncle 3–6 mm long. Calyx 0.8–1 mm long. Corolla cream to pale yellow, c. 1.5 mm long; tube ±as long as lobes, internally thickened distally to form a rim at mouth, glabrous except for a few hairs on top of rim.

This species occurs in Eucalyptusdiversifolia open mallee or low shrubland dominated by Allocasuarina muelleriana, Calytrixtetragona, Petrophile multisecta,Lhotskya glaberrima and Acrotriche cordata. It grows in brownsandy soil overlying limestone.
