Open branched often lax shrub to 0.6 (–1) m high, rarely compact; branches minutely hairy. Leaves sessile or with petiole to 1 mm long; lamina flat or slightly concavo-convex in section, linear to very narrowly elliptic, (8–) 10–21 (–24) mm long, 1–2 (–4) mm wide, l:w ratio (5–) 10, attenuate, somewhat decurrent at base, subacute at apex, sparsely hairy basally, often with hairs restricted to basal abaxial midrib and margin, rarely sparsely hairy throughout or glabrous. Inflorescence often consisting of several 7-flowered dichasia; peduncle of dichasial groups to 10 mm long. Calyx 0.7–1.2 mm long. Corolla 1.5–2 mm long; tube internally thickened distally to form a rim at mouth, glabrous or with a few hairs on rim and partially up lobes; lobes 0.5–1 mm long.
Occasional to locally common in malleeheath communities, dominated by Eucalyptusdiversifolia, E. incrassata, E. oleosa, E. gracilis and E. dumosa.It grows in white sandy soil, on low to steep dunes, in sandy loam flats, orsometimes with outcropping limestone.
