Characteristics

Small spreading shrub to 10 cm high; branches sparsely to moderately densely minutely hairy. Leaves mostly clustered on short lateral branches; petiole 0.1–0.2 mm long, glabrous or with a few minute hairs; lamina ±elliptic, 1.2–2.1 mm long, 0.6–1 mm wide, l:w ratio 1.8–2.5, cuneate at base, strongly revolute, with thickened midrib, ±obtuse, often slightly recurved at apex; lower surface densely minutely papillose, with midrib glabrous; upper surface minutely papillose, or glabrous or with a few minute hairs. Inflorescence 3–7-flowered; peduncle absent or greatly reduced (c. 0.1 mm long). Calyx 0.7–1 mm long. Corolla 1.5–2 mm long; tube not thickened internally, glabrous; lobes 0.9–1.1 mm long, densely papillose from just above base to apex on inner surface.
