Erect, spreading shrub, 0.3–1.2 m high; branches glabrous or ridges sometimes minutely papillose. Leaves glossy green, glabrous, flat, sessile or petiole to 1.5 mm long; lamina narrowly elliptic, 18–32 mm long, 2.5–4.5 mm wide, l:w ratio 6–10.7, long-attenuate, decurrent at base, minutely papillose on margin, subacute. Inflorescence extended beyond leaves, consisting of 1–7-flowered uniflorescences. Calyx 1–1.2 mm long. Corolla 2.5–3.7 mm long; tube not thickened internally; lobes 1–1.5 mm long, moderately hairy from c. point of insertion of androecium to area adjacent to apex of anthers, densely hairy in a ±narrow band at and near tube mouth and base of lobes, extending c. halfway up lobes medially, minutely papillose distally.
Rare, or occasional tolocally common in tall shrubland dominated by Melaleuca uncinata, Allocasuarinahelmsii and A. acutivalvis, in grey-browncalcareous earth, weathered rock or in well-drained gravelly sand/clay.
