Erect shrub 0.2–1 m high; branches densely and minutely hairy. Leaves subsessile with petiole less than 0.8 mm long; lamina subcoriaceous, ovate to narrowly ovate, 13–18 mm long, 7–8 mm wide, l:w ratio 1.8–2.6, rounded to slightly cuneate at base, slightly recurved, often with a few hairs near base of margin, obtuse and sometimes mucronulate; lower surface glabrous except ±hairy midrib. Inflorescence usually foliose, 7–49-flowered; uniflorescences 7-flowered. Calyx 1.2–1.5 mm long. Corolla c. 2.5 mm long; lobes c. 0.8–1 mm long; outer surface glabrous; inner surface glabrous except for a band of crinkled hairs restricted to a thickened rim in mouth, sometimes extending on to base of corolla lobes.
An occasional species of Eucalyptusremota tall shrubland over an heathy understorey of Thomasia petalocalyx and Adenanthosmacropodiana, growing in sandy loams to clayey soils, overlying laterites.
