Erect or spreading, open shrub, 20–70 (–100) cm high; branches with lateral wings, minutely papillose. Leaves sessile or with petiole to 0.5 mm long, minutely papillose; lamina linear, 10–18 mm long, 1–1.3 mm wide, l:w ratio 9–16.4, with midrib enlarged at base, strongly revolute, rarely recurved to incompletely revolute, rounded at apex, appearing obtuse; abaxial surface minutely papillose, sometimes densely but minutely hairy distally, usually coarsely papillose on midrib. Inflorescence of 3–15-flowered uniflorescences among the leaves, or on peduncle to 45 mm long. Calyx 1–1.7 mm long. Corolla 2.5–3.7 mm long; tube with inner surface not thickened, densely hairy distally; lobes very broadly obovate, 1.2–1.7 mm long, densely hairy basally on inner surface, minutely papillose distally.
Occurring in mallee(Eucalyptus spp.) communities, intall open shrublands, often with E.leptophylla, and in E. flocktoniaewoodlands. Frequently, the soils are sandy (often calcareous), loamy sands orgravelly sands (often lateritic), overlying limestone, clay or granite.
