Characteristics

Main stems prostrate, creeping, to 1 m or more long, with scattered appressed scale-like leaves. Branchlets spreading to ascending, dorsiventral, much-branched. Leaves dimorphic, yellowish green; upper leaves in 2 alternating rows flattened into 1 plane, firm to rigid, decurrent, ovate to lanceolate, often falcate, 3–5 mm long, 1–1.5 mm wide; leaves of undersurface in 2 rows, much smaller and scale-like, with translucent membranous obtuse usually dilated tips. Strobili erect, terminal, 1–3 cm long, solitary. Sporophylls imbricate, subpeltate, ovate-sagittate, stramineous, with translucent membranous tips.

Lvs of main stems multifarious, of branches dimorphic. Dorsal lvs flattened, subdistichous, c. 3 mm. long, ascending, long-decurrent, lanceolate to narrow-ovate, acute to acuminate, subfalcate; other lvs smaller, subulate-lanceolate, appressed.
