Leaves alternate, slender and terete to narrowly fusiform, 5–8 mm long, fleshy, glabrous. Flowers solitary, bisexual, glabrous. Fruiting perianth glabrous; tube shallowly hemispherical, c. 3 mm diam., thin-walled; wing thin, horizontal, simple, c. 8 mm diam., with fine pale brown anastomosing veins when dry, entire except a single radial (radicular) slit; upper perianth flat with somewhat fleshy lobes.
