Cultivation

A Gala type with larger fruit. Origin: limb sport of Gala, discovered by Tina Fackler, Rocky Mountain Nursery, New Salisbury, Ind., in 1992. Assigned to ProTree Nurseries, Brentwood, Calif. USPP 10,458. Tree: identical to Gala. Fruit: similar to Gala, except 30% to 40% larger, with higher flesh density. Color similar to Gala (Kidd’s D8).
