Giuseppe di Comacchio; precocious; biennial bearing absent; resistant to apple scab. Fruit: diameter 7.0 cm; conic; 80% dark purple-red with yellow ground color; flesh fine; flavor aromatic, good, with high sugar, 14.5-15.0 °Brix; 4.9 g/L malic acid; ripens 10-15 d after Gala, late August to early September in S. Giuseppe di Comacchio, Italy; storability good, up to 6 months under controlled atmosphere; shelf life up to 2 weeks.
