Cultivation

Discovered by L. James Bailey, Wenatchee, Wash., about 1975; introd. in 1988; USPP 8187; 30 Mar. 1993; assigned to Van Well Nursery. Parentage unknown. Origin: Tree: vigor precocious, annual bearer, appears to be resistant to powdery mildew. Fruit: medium, 70 to 75 mm; skin deep dull red with faint stripe and pronounced lenticels; shape round-conic; flesh creamy white, firm, crisp; flavor mildly sweet and aromatic; harvest date early September, 4 weeks before Delicious.
