Cultivation

Origin: in Mason, Mich., by Sara Tena Fair. Introd. in 1963. USPP 2178; 2 Oct. 1962. Chance seedling; seed planted about 1921 by John William Bennett, father of Fair; selected about 1929 by Fair. Tree: produces moderate crops. Fruit: averages about 3 1/8 inches in diam.; globose; skin moderately thin, glossy, waxy, attractive yellow with a bright blush; flesh white, not juicy, texture mellow; quality good; ripens in August; keeping quality good to best for a summer maturing variety.
