Cultivation

Origin: in Morden, Manitoba, Canada, by C.R. Ure, Canada Dept. Agr., Res. Sta. Introd. in 1961. Melba × Haralson; selected in 1949; tested as Morden 364. Tree: moderately vigorous; healthy; hardy; scaffold branches strong; very productive. Fruit: medium to large; skin solid red, appearance good; ripens in late September, keeping to early January; rated good as dessert and very good for sauce, pie, and baking; resembles Bancroft, McIntosh, Lobo.
