Cultivation

Shiny red apple with crisp, juicy, non-browning flesh. Origin: Deutsches Obstsorten Konsortium, Hollern-Twielenfleth, Germany, by G. Sundermeyer. Parentage unknown; selected 2012; propagated 2013. Tree: vigor moderate; growth habit spreading; blooms 3 d after Golden Delicious; susceptible to powdery mildew. Fruit: diameter 7.0-8.0 cm; globose; 70-80% dark red overcolor; lenticels prominent, abundant; flesh very crisp, juicy, non-browning; 13.7 °Brix; ripens with Braeburn; storability very good, >4 months in cold storage, >7 months in controlled atmosphere.
